Christmas is coming! I’m excited. I get to be drunk and merry, eat loads of food & presents are given! It’s a pretty rockin’ day tbf. & Then there is NYE. That’s gonna pretty ace too I reckon. :]

I’ve had two photoshoots recently, one with Barbara Dominique and another with Bee Wilson. They were pretty ace. I also have shot Liz Warman & Nikki Robinson this month, but I haven’t got around to editing those shoots yet. I’ve been getting quite a few commissions too over the last couple of months, so hopefully I can keep that up & start Vickie Bradley Photography as a proper business. It would be ideal, wouldn’t it?

I’m also going to be assisting photographer Daniel Moncur-Sime over this Christmas break for one of my uni modules. So that should be interesting. I’m looking forward to it.

It’s going to be a busy few weeks!! How exciting. :D

assisting & shooting

I’m finally updating! woo!

So, I’ve been dead busy trying to sort out my uni life, which, still seems to be in some kinda mess. I have LOADS of work + LOADS of shoots that MUST be done. I just need to find some kind of motivation right now, all of what I had, all the ideas and ambition just seem to have gone & I’m finding that quite frustraiting right now.

Since my proper previous update I’ve shot my friend Carly again, this time with a bit more of a Fashion Editorial approach. I still need to develop my skills in Fashion photography, I really don’t think I’m good at it at all atm, but I want to figure it out. So here are some from that shoot.

I’ve also been assisting a photographer called Andy Kruczek (http://www.andykruczek.com/) at his studio in Wednesbury in the West Midlands for one of my modules at Uni. He’s a really nice guy, which is hard to find when you’re assisting (I’ve heard of some pretty awful stories), so I’m quite lucky to know him. We were testing some Profoto lighting when I was helping out (you can read about it on his blog; http://andykruczek.blogspot.com/), and he let me shoot a few shots (below), which was pretty ace! Even if using a Canon was completely alien to me, haha. It’s mainly studio work he does, so it’s going to be really good for me to get a feel of using artificial light & all that jazz, cause atm I haven’t got the best knowledge of it.

But yeah, busy times. It’s all good fun though. I can’t really say I’ve hated anything that’s happened over the last few weeks, which is a plus I suppose! :D I’m in a good place right now with my personal life too, things are finally moving forward, I don’t feel like I’m floating around with no sense of what to do or where to go anymore. I’m doing things with me, no body else, and it feels great. :]

The photo above is two different views out of two different windows in rooms I’ve lived in. Left; Stoke. Right; Wolverhampton. They’re also on two different cameras & taken MANY years apart. I just liked them & wanted to do something a little different.

I promise I will update properly soon, I’ve been really busy, shoots, assisting and just life so I’ll be writing about all that jazz! :]
