SLOW MOTION

My life is in slow motion at the moment.

I was meant to have a photoshoot on Wednesday, but the snowy weather forced me to cancel it. My model was driving up from Birmingham, and there was just too much snow to get up here on time. Don’t get me wrong, the snow is beautiful, I just wish it didn’t mean the whole country comes to a stand still!

Because I haven’t shot anything for about a month now, I feel a bit caged. All I want to do is go out and start shooting! Start playing around with some ideas. Ah well, go back to Stoke on Sunday. & I’m buying a Polaroid camera off a friend on Monday. I’ve never used one before & I’ve always loved Polaroids, so I can’t wait to play with that. Just need to find somewhere to get the film. I know of this webiste POLAPREMIUM which does all kinds of film for Polaroid cameras at resonable prices, so I will probably use them. :]

I’m going to try to update this blog a bit more with more features from other artists & photographers AS WELL as still doing the INSPIRED feature. So, here’s todays favourite favourite, (111/365) by Paaaage

My ankle is still swollen & bruised. I missed shooting with Daniel Moncur-Sime, which totally sucks. The opening of his exhibition in Bristol is on Friday. I wish I could go down there!

NYE in A&E

I ended up in A&E last night at about 10pm.

Drinking in a pub in town, getting ready for a pretty ace night ahead. But we were sat in a really awkward area, with people all sat around, so I thought the easiest way to get out of where I was, was to climb over the table. The table was like a low coffee type table. Not high at all. & I wasn’t wearing heels or shit. But, as I put my foot down, my ankle gave way & I fell straight to the floor. & to quote a guy stood near us, “bad times!” lol. I thought the pain would go away in like 10 mins or something, cause minor sprains I can deal with, but this wasn’t going away any time soon. & my ankle had swollen 10x it’s size. I couldn’t walk on it. It was NOT a good sign. So I ended up going to A&E with my mum. lol. X-Ray’s and all. Theres apparently the tiniest break, but nothing they can really do about it, so it’s like a really bad sprain! SUCKY!

So, I missed NYE with my best girlies, which is lame. But I guess I saved some money! haha. The only thing I have to worry about now, is that I was supposed to be assisting Daniel Moncur-Sime on monday, and if I still can’t walk on it by then, I can’t go! It’s just typical that I’d do something like this when I’m looking forward to something. lol. Urgh. Also, I’m supposed to be going to Stoke to hand work in on the Tuesday&Thursday. Everything has gone tits up!

Lets hope I get some luck sometime soon…

December

Christmas is coming! I’m excited. I get to be drunk and merry, eat loads of food & presents are given! It’s a pretty rockin’ day tbf. & Then there is NYE. That’s gonna pretty ace too I reckon. :]

I’ve had two photoshoots recently, one with Barbara Dominique and another with Bee Wilson. They were pretty ace. I also have shot Liz Warman & Nikki Robinson this month, but I haven’t got around to editing those shoots yet. I’ve been getting quite a few commissions too over the last couple of months, so hopefully I can keep that up & start Vickie Bradley Photography as a proper business. It would be ideal, wouldn’t it?

I’m also going to be assisting photographer Daniel Moncur-Sime over this Christmas break for one of my uni modules. So that should be interesting. I’m looking forward to it.

It’s going to be a busy few weeks!! How exciting. :D
